Tacky Day

Aren't they tacky?!?

Horrible Fashion Sense!
They look absolutely ridiculous!

Our school recently had tacky day and this is what my children looked like when they went to school. I was almost embarrassed. Cruz on the other hand wouldn't have any part of it. He wore his uniform to school. He thought they all looked absolutely ridiculous! (They did!)

A Circus of Their Own

After going to the circus the kindergarten class put on their own circus! They did a fantastic job. Cruz was a clown (even though he had an awesome elephant costume that I made for Brooks last year). Oh, well.

Isn't he the silliest clown you've ever seen? He was great. He even told us this joke. "Knock, knock." "Who's there?" "Ivan." "Ivan who?" "Ivan working on the railroad!" Hahahaha.

Ringling Brothers & Barnum & Bailey Circus!

This is my kindergartner, Cruz, enjoying the circus. I am privileged and spoiled because our school's kindergarten classes go to the circus. Below is a picture of Brooks last year when he and I got to go to the circus. I've had a great time getting to spend time with these two at the circus.
This is a picture of the motorcycles going around the ball of death. it was awesome. They eventually got 7 motorcycles in this tiny ball all going around very fast. It was scary!
Honestly this was the scariest part. This motorcycle rode on a wire with a person hanging underneath it. The motorcycle would stop and the driver and the person underneath would spin upside down on the wire. It was amazing and truly breathtaking.

Here are the elephants. What would a circus be like without elephants?

Charlotte's Web

Meet Fern
She's dressed in blue

At Union Academy (our school), the third grade reads Charlotte's Web. Then they create puppets and put on a puppet show for lots of different classes, parents, daycare centers at the county library. It gives them lots of exposure to performing, learning how to speak clearly and loudly, and working together as a team.

Afton was Fern in her class. She created her puppet all by herself.

Meet one of the announcer's
She has a pink dress on

This announcer belongs Kolu, who is also in third grade. She too created and decorated her puppet. She did a great job. Sometimes she speaks with "marble mouth" but she did a great job for this play. She practiced and worked very hard at speaking clearly.
